Product overview
A pad, not a book
An NCR pad is glued along the top edge to a strawboard back and covered with a white card cover. There is no stitched spine and no perforation: you write on the top set and tear the whole set off, then separate the copies. That makes a pad the right choice on a counter or a workshop bench, and a bound invoice book the right choice for a van or a pocket, where the copies should stay in the book.
What the pads are used for
- Delivery notes, signed by the customer and left with the goods.
- Order forms and purchase orders at a trade counter.
- Job sheets and service reports, one copy for the file and one for the customer.
- Invoices and receipts where the copies are filed rather than kept bound.
Parts and paper
Two part pads hold 100 sets and three part pads hold 50 sets. The paper is 82gsm GiroForm carbonless, printed in black ink with your business details, headings and boxes. One part desk pads on 120gsm white bond are available on request for forms that need no copy.
Numbering
Sequential numbering is included. Give us the starting number and where it should sit, and every part of every set carries it, or choose plain and number by hand.
Design, proof, turnaround and delivery
Upload your artwork or use the free design service and tell us what the form is for; a delivery note needs a signature and a received by line, an order form needs quantity and code columns, and we lay it out to suit. A proof is emailed and nothing prints until you approve it. Pads are printed and dispatched in 5 to 6 working days after approval. Free delivery anywhere in Ireland, north and south, on every order. Prices are shown ex VAT and VAT at 23% is added at the checkout. For a form you already have artwork for, see NCR books printed from your own design.
Frequently Asked Questions
Should I order pads or books?
Pads if the sets are torn off and filed, for example delivery notes or counter orders. Books if the copy should stay bound as a running record, for example invoices written on site.
How many sets are in a pad?
Two part pads have 100 sets and three part pads have 50 sets. Each set comes away from the pad whole and the copies are then separated.
Can the pads be numbered?
Yes, in sequence on every part, and it is included. Give us the first number when you order.
What paper are the pads on?
82gsm GiroForm carbonless paper, glued at the head to a strawboard back with a white card cover. One part desk pads on 120gsm bond are available on request.
Why do pads take 5 to 6 working days?
Pads are glued and trimmed as a separate finishing step after printing. Bound books are dispatched in 3 to 4 working days if you need something sooner.
Is delivery free on pads?
Yes, anywhere in Ireland, north and south, on every order.
No reviews yet. Reviews are written by customers after delivery, and approved before they appear.
A print ready PDF is best. We also accept AI, EPS, PSD, JPG, PNG and DOCX files up to 50 MB through the upload box on this page; anything larger can be emailed to sales@discoverprint.ie with your order number.
- Leave 15mm clear along the top edge, where the pad is glued.
- Keep text and logos at least 5mm from the other three edges.
- Supply artwork at 300dpi. Logos as vector files (AI, EPS or PDF) print sharpest.
- No artwork? Choose the free design option and tell us what to include: your logo, address, phone, email, VAT number and bank details are the usual set. Our designer sets it out and emails a proof.
Nothing is printed until you approve the proof, whether you sent the artwork or we drew it.
