Three copies of every invoice
A triplicate book gives you an original and two copies from one pen stroke. The usual split is customer, office and a third copy for the job file, the driver, the site foreman or the accountant. The paper is NCR carbonless, so the copies are made by pressure alone and all three carry the same wording and the same number.
50 sets per book
Each triplicate book holds 50 sets, which is 150 sheets. If you only ever need one copy, the duplicate invoice books hold 100 sets and cost less per invoice; a third part is only worth paying for when it has somewhere to go.
Printed with your details
Every book is printed in black ink with your business name, logo, address, phone, email and VAT number, plus the headings and boxes you need. Send your artwork or use the free design service; either way a proof is emailed and nothing is printed until you approve it.
Sizes, binding and perforation
- A4 (210mm x 297mm), A5 (148mm x 210mm), A6 (105mm x 148mm) or DL (99mm x 210mm).
- Manilla cover, cardboard back and a wrap around writing shield to keep the next set clean.
- Black taped spine, and every sheet perforated along the top or the left edge.
Numbering
Sequential numbering is included and appears on all three parts. Tell us the first number and where it goes, or choose the plain option and number by hand.
Turnaround, delivery and VAT
Printed and dispatched in 3 to 4 working days after you approve the proof. Free delivery anywhere in Ireland, north and south, on every order. Prices are shown ex VAT and VAT at 23% is added at the checkout. Every size and option is set out on the main page for our personalised invoice books.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who usually uses triplicate books?
Anyone who needs a copy in a third place: builders who keep a copy on the job file, delivery drivers who leave one with the goods, and firms whose accountant wants a copy separate from the office book.
Why 50 sets and not 100?
Three sheets to a set means 50 sets is already 150 sheets, the same thickness as a 100 set duplicate book. A thicker book would not sit flat to write on.
Is the writing clear on the third copy?
Yes with a ballpoint pen and normal pressure on the writing shield. Felt tips and gel pens press less and give a lighter third copy, so a ballpoint is the pen to keep in the book.
Can each part be a different colour?
The printing is black on all three parts. Tell us in the order notes if you want the parts labelled, for example Customer, Office and File, and the proof will show it.
Can I mix sizes in one order?
Each size is its own product, so add A5 and A4 books to the basket separately. Both are printed and dispatched together.
How long does delivery take?
A proof within a working day, then 3 to 4 working days to print and dispatch after approval. Delivery is free anywhere in Ireland, north and south.

A print ready PDF is best. We also accept AI, EPS, PSD, JPG, PNG and DOCX files up to 50 MB through the upload box on this page; anything larger can be emailed to sales@discoverprint.ie with your order number.
- Leave 20mm clear along the binding edge (the top or the left, whichever you chose for the perforation). Nothing printed there survives the tear off.
- Keep text and logos at least 5mm from the other three edges.
- Supply artwork at 300dpi. Logos as vector files (AI, EPS or PDF) print sharpest.
- No artwork? Choose the free design option and tell us what to include: your logo, address, phone, email, VAT number and bank details are the usual set. Our designer sets it out and emails a proof.
Nothing is printed until you approve the proof, whether you sent the artwork or we drew it.
