Product overview
The A4 flyer
A4 is 210mm x 297mm, a full sheet. It is the size for a flyer that has to carry real information: a full menu, a programme, a product sheet, a notice for a wall. Schools, clubs, councils, estate agents and trade suppliers choose A4 when the reader needs the detail rather than a headline.
Paper and sides
Choose 130gsm gloss, the standard leaflet weight that folds and posts easily, or 170gsm gloss, which is stiffer in the hand and reads as better quality on a counter or a table. Print one side or both. Double sided at 170gsm is the usual choice for a menu or a price list; single sided at 130gsm is the usual choice for a door drop.
Quantities
From 1,000 copies up to 50,000, with the price per thousand falling as the quantity rises. The full price table is above; choose your paper, sides and turnaround and the price updates. Other sizes are on the flyers page: DL, A5, A4 and A3.
Getting the design right at A4
An A4 flyer is read at arm's length or on a wall, so it can hold more than a handout: two columns, a table of prices or dates, several pictures. Keep a clear margin and one strong heading, and put the call to action where the eye lands last, at the foot.
Artwork
Supply a print ready PDF at 300dpi with 3mm bleed on every edge, in CMYK. We check bleed, resolution and size on every file and tell you before printing if anything needs changing. There is no design service on flyers; if you need artwork made, ask through the bespoke quotation form and we will quote for it.
Turnaround, delivery and VAT
Choose 3 or 4 working days when you order. Orders approved before 2pm start that working day. Free delivery anywhere in Ireland, north and south, on every order. Prices are shown ex VAT. Flyers are advertising matter, so VAT is added at the checkout at 13.5% rather than 23%.
Frequently Asked Questions
When should I choose A4 over A5?
When the reader needs detail: a full menu, a timetable, a specification, a programme. For a handout or a door drop, A5 is cheaper and easier to carry.
Can A4 flyers be folded?
These are supplied flat. For an A4 sheet folded to DL or A5, see the A4 folded brochures, which are creased and folded for you.
Which paper for a wall notice?
170gsm gloss. It hangs flatter and takes handling better than 130gsm. Choose 130gsm for a mailing to keep the weight down.
What quantities are available?
From 1,000 to 50,000 copies, with the price per thousand falling at each step.
Is delivery free on A4 flyers?
Yes, anywhere in Ireland, north and south, with no minimum spend. Turnaround is 3 or 4 working days.
No reviews yet. Reviews are written by customers after delivery, and approved before they appear.
Supply a print ready PDF at 300dpi with 3mm bleed on all four edges, and keep text and logos 3mm inside the trim. Set colours to CMYK; RGB files print duller than they look on screen. Files up to 50 MB upload on this page; larger files can be emailed to sales@discoverprint.ie with your order number. We check every file for bleed, resolution and size and tell you before printing if anything needs changing. If you have no artwork, ask through the bespoke quotation form and we will quote for design.

What should a vehicle walk-around check sheet include?
Operators of commercial vehicles in Ireland must make sure a walk-around check is done before a vehicle goes on the road, with a system for recording defects. What should a delivery note include?
A delivery note travels with the goods and confirms what was sent. It is not an invoice, but it is part of your sales records and often the document that gets an invoice paid. This guide covers what a delivery note should show, how many copies you need, and when a pad works better than a book.
