An A4 sheet folded once to DL

A 4pp DL brochure is an A4 sheet, 210mm x 297mm, folded in half along its length to 99mm x 210mm... in effect a tall DL card that opens to show two panels inside, four printed pages in all. It is the simplest folded leaflet: a cover, two inside panels and a back, for a price list, a short service guide, an event programme or a takeaway menu with a few dishes.

Paper and sides

Choose 130gsm gloss, which folds cleanly and keeps the cost down on a large run, or 170gsm gloss, which is stiffer and holds its fold on a table or in a rack. Both are printed full colour. Print one side or both; a brochure is nearly always printed both sides, because the inside is the point of folding it.

Designing for the folds

Treat the front panel as the cover: a headline and a picture. Open it and the two inside panels read together as one A4 spread, so a menu or a price list can run across both. The back panel takes contact details and a map. Keep type 5mm clear of the fold.

Quantities

Artwork

Supply a print ready PDF at the flat size with 3mm bleed, at 300dpi and in CMYK, with the panels set to the fold widths. Ask us for a fold template before you start and we email one. We check every file before printing. For design, ask through the bespoke quotation form.

Turnaround, delivery and VAT

Choose 3 or 4 working days when you order; orders approved before 2pm start that working day. Free delivery anywhere in Ireland, north and south, on every order. Prices are shown ex VAT. Brochures are advertising matter, so VAT is added at the checkout at 13.5%.
