A three panel menu, 396mm x 210mm flat
This folded menu is a 396mm x 210mm sheet folded twice to 132mm x 210mm, giving three panels a side that stand upright on a table or fold flat for a takeaway bag. It is the format restaurants, cafes, takeaways and hotels use for a menu that sits on the table and goes home with the customer.
Paper and sides
Choose 130gsm gloss, which folds cleanly and keeps the cost down on a large run, or 170gsm gloss, which is stiffer and holds its fold on a table or in a rack. Both are printed full colour. Print one side or both; a brochure is nearly always printed both sides, because the inside is the point of folding it.
Designing for the folds
Three equal panels of 132mm, so no panel needs trimming narrower. Cover on the right hand outside panel, drinks or specials on the left, and the menu inside reading left to right across the three panels: starters, mains, desserts. Set prices in a column on the right of each panel and keep them 5mm from the fold.
Quantities

Artwork
Supply a print ready PDF at the flat size with 3mm bleed, at 300dpi and in CMYK, with the panels set to the fold widths. Ask us for a fold template before you start and we email one. We check every file before printing. For design, ask through the bespoke quotation form.
Turnaround, delivery and VAT
Choose 3 or 4 working days when you order; orders approved before 2pm start that working day. Free delivery anywhere in Ireland, north and south, on every order. Prices are shown ex VAT. Brochures are advertising matter, so VAT is added at the checkout at 13.5%.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is a folded menu different from a tri fold brochure?
The panels. This menu has three equal 132mm panels on a 396mm sheet, so it stands square on a table. An A4 tri fold has one narrower panel so it tucks in.
Which paper for a table menu?
170gsm gloss. It stands up on its own, wipes clean and survives a week of handling. Choose 130gsm for takeaway menus that go out in bags and through doors.
Will it fit a takeaway bag or a DL envelope?
Folded, it is 132mm x 210mm, so it fits a bag and a C5 envelope. It is wider than DL, so it does not fit a DL envelope flat.
Can I change the menu often?
Yes; order 500 at a time and reorder when prices or dishes change. Set the file up once and send the new version each time.
