The DL envelope
DL is 110mm x 220mm. It holds an A4 sheet folded in three, which is how most letters, invoices and statements are posted. It is the everyday business envelope and the one to print first.
Printed with your design
Your logo and return address printed on the envelope does two things: the post looks like it comes from a business, and an undeliverable letter comes back to you rather than going missing. Send the same artwork you use on your letterheads and the set matches. DL envelopes are printed landscape, the way they are addressed.
Quantities
From 100 envelopes to 1,000, in steps of 100, so a small office can order a box at a time. The price per envelope falls as the quantity rises. Most offices order envelopes in the same run as their letterheads and compliment slips, so all three carry the same artwork and the same colours and the set is used up together. The other sizes are on the business stationery page: DL for a folded letter, C5 for A5 flat or A4 folded once, C4 for A4 flat.
Artwork
Supply a print ready PDF at 300dpi. Keep the printing away from the flap and the right hand half of the front, which is where the stamp and the address go. We check every file before printing and tell you if anything sits where the post office needs clear space. For design, ask through the bespoke quotation form.

Frequently Asked Questions
What fits in a DL envelope?
An A4 sheet folded in three, or a DL compliment slip or DL flyer flat. It is the standard envelope for letters, invoices and statements.
Where is the printing placed?
Usually the logo and return address top left on the front, leaving the right half clear for the address and stamp. Send your artwork and we position it, or tell us where you want it.
Can I order only 100?
Yes. 100 is the smallest quantity, then steps of 100 to 1,000.
Do the envelopes match my letterheads?
Send the same artwork and the logo and colours match. The envelope paper differs from the 120gsm bond of the letterhead, as all envelopes do.
How long do printed envelopes take?
3 working days, then free courier delivery anywhere in Ireland.
