Where to buy duplicate NCR books in Ireland
There are three ways to get duplicate books in Ireland, and they suit three different situations.
1. A stationery shop, today
Generic books, blank except for printed column headings, sitting on a shelf. The advantage is that you can have one in your hand this afternoon. The disadvantages are that it carries nothing about your business, the layout is whatever the manufacturer chose, and you will be writing your name, number and VAT details by hand on every single set for the life of the book.
Worth it when you have run out mid job. Not worth it as a standing arrangement.
2. An office supplies account
Much the same product, bought by the box, delivered with the rest of the order. Better on price per book than the high street. Still blank, and still leaves you writing your details out by hand.
3. A printer, personalised
Printed to order with your logo, your details, your boxes and your numbering. It takes a few days rather than an afternoon, and the difference in cost per book is smaller than most people assume, because you are ordering the book you were going to buy anyway with printing on it.
What to check before you order
- Is the design charged for? Some printers quote a book price and then a setup fee. Ours is included with a new order.
- Do you see a proof? You should, and you should not be charged to change it.
- Is delivery included, and to where? Check it covers your county before you compare prices. Ours is free across Ireland.
- Is the price shown before you commit? Having to request a quotation for a standard book usually means the price moves.
- Is the numbering included? It should be, and it should start where you tell it to.
